Skoda Nepal has commenced bookings of the all-new Skoda Rapid TSI with a downpayment of just Rs. 10 Lakhs. The new Rapid will come in 6 variants with prices starting from Rs. 34.90 lakhs for the base Rider variant and going all the way up to Rs. 51.90 lakhs for the top-end Monte Carlo variant.At the heart of the new Skoda Rapid is a new TSI engine, which previously was found only in the more premium models such as Superb and Octavia. The new petrol engine produces 110 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque, both of which are best-in-class. The fuel efficiency is 18.97 km/l under standard test conditions. When compared with the outgoing 1.6 MPI engine, the new Skoda Rapid1.0 TSI offers a 5% upsurge in power and a 14% rise in torque output. At the same time, the new Rapid offers a 23% increase in fuel efficiency against the previous motor. The new Rapid 1.0 TSI is calibrated for refinement, efficiency as well as performance.The Skoda Rapid also offers a best-in-class boot space of 460 liters and a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters. In addition, every variant of the Rapid comes with rear A/C vents, automatic climatronic A/C, and tilt and telescopic steering.
